Hysteroscopic Tubal Sterilisation

Objective: Hysteroscopic Essure microinsert system application to three women for the first time in our clinic. And the evaluation of them at third month after the procedure. Methods: Hysteroscopic Essure microinsert system was performed to three women under general ansesthesia in department of obstetrics and gynecology, Ege university. The third month after procedure, all patients were evaluated by pelvic X-ray, hysterosalpingography and transvaginal ultrasonography. Results: Essure microinsert system was successfully implemented in three women. Tubal placement location and complete tubal obstruction were confirmed by postoperative evaluation. Conclusion: Hysteroscopically performed Essure microinsert system is a permanent birth control method. Detecting the effectiveness, long term effects and side effects of this system will be possible by comparing with another methods and by designing large further studies.
