Habitual Abortion And Infertility Cases With X Chromosome Aneuploidy

OBJECTIVE: We investigated the effect of X chromosome mosaicism to reproductive performance of women. METHOD: It was studied by standart peripheral blood culture and trypsin-giemsa banding (GTG) method. Also buccal smear examination was done for X chromatin presence. Case 1; A case with IVF failure who referred to our laboratuaries for chromosome analysis, was found 46,XX[97]/47,XXX[2]/ 49,XXXXX [1]. Case 2; A case with IVF failure who referred to our laboratuaries for chromosome analysis, was found 46,XX[95]/47,XXX[5]. Case 3; A case with habitual abortion referred to our laboratuaries for chromosome analysis, was found 46,XX[85]/ 47,XXX[15]. Case 4; A case with habitual abortion referred to our laboratuaries for chromosome analysis, was found 46,XX[96]/47,XXX[4]. Case 5; A case with habitual abortion referred to our laboratuaries for chromosome analysis, was found 46,XX[85]/47,XXX[15]. CONCLUSION: The effect of sex chromosome mosaicism to reproductive performance of women is emphasized with the similar results of five cases we investigated.
