Ectopic Ovary In A Patient With Endometriosis: A Case Report

Aim: A case of ectopic ovary encountered in laparoscopy for endometrioma was presented and discussed. Material And Method: Laparoscopy was performed to a nulligravid 27 years old infertile woman for persistent ovarian cyst. Results: Uterus was normal in laparoscopic observation. Right tube was hypoplasic. There was no ovary at right fossa ovarica. There were 5×5 cm and 2×2 cm endometriomas in the left ovary. In douglas an ovary connected to left sacrouterine ligament with a thin vascular band was observed. Laparoscopic cystectomy was performed for the left ovary. Conclusion: Congenital anomalies should be carefully searched during infertility investigations.
